All I Want for Christmas Is…..

Tips and Advice

A new home, perhaps?  It’s a great time to buy, with prices and interest rates in very favorable ranges.  Now might be the time to move into the neighborhood you’ve always wanted to be in, or that house that you’ve had your eye on.  It’s also a great time to think about re-doing your current home.  Now that we’re spending more time indoors, our home’s inadequacies become glaringly apparent.

What would you like for Christmas (or substitute holiday of your choosing)?  Maybe it’s something as simple as a freshening up with new paint/paper and some new furniture.  Maybe it’s to finally have those built-ins and new fireplace you’ve been wanting.  Whatever it is, now is a great time to start that wish list.  The New Year is only a few weeks away, and once the holidays have passed it’s great to focus on a goal that will enhance the enjoyment of your home.

Here’s my wish list:

A vacation home on the water.  Doesn’t have to be a big house – I actually like smaller homes.  Just big enough for my husband and I, our kids & their spouses/significant others, grandson, and of course, their dogs.  I’d like a lot of windows with great views of the water (but not neighbors), a large great room with fireplace and a kitchen big enough to allow cooking for large parties.   Pretty simple.  Are you listening, Santa????

Of course, I’d also like world peace, an end to hunger and disease, and for the Cubs to win the World Series.  But I wish for those every year.

What are you wishing for?
