As I may have mentioned before, I read a lot of design magazines. I recently opened my copy of Renovation Style, which is one of Better Homes and Gardens publications, and read about this quiz you could take to discover your “color personality”. I thought, “What the heck, I’ll try it.” It’s actually kind of fun! www.bhg.com/decorating/color-personality/ The quiz asks about 7 or 8 questions that for the most part, don’t have anything to do with color and then gives you both your “personality” and a little download that you can keep to help you incorporate your colors into your home.
Guess what?? My color personality is “Firey Red”. It says I’m “decisive and result oriented” (true), “a take-charge person with a flair for the dramatic” (true about the take-charge part) and I’m “not afraid to take a risk or show my passion” (well, considering I started a new business during the worst recession in recent history- I’d say I’m definitely not risk-averse). All in all, I think it’s a fairly accurate description. Now for the color choices in my home- I’d say I have a lot of saturated, red-based colors, but there isn’t one RED thing in my home. If I were to have a red room in my home, it might look like the picture below. This looks more like a library or study to me!
